Event name:

TransCultural Exchange

Event Date: Sat, Apr 23rd, 2022 7:00:00 pm
Event Summary:

Saturday, April 23 7pm.  People will come together to broadcast to the world both our thanks to everyone, everywhere for weathering the pandemic with us and our solidarity with Ukraine in their struggle against the Russian Federation.

Event Details:
(This will be the culminating event of TransCultural Exchange's global project Hello World, produced during the pandemic. This project includes artworks by 4 artists in the Ukraine - https://transculturalexchange.org/activities/hw/artists.htm -  and  the Ivano-Frankivsk Museum of Local Lore, Museum Making of the Ukrainian Nation and the Unistudy International Education in Ukraine. Given the current world situation, we are dedicating this last Hello World Event to the project's Ukrainian participants, along with everyone in Ukraine.)
Sunflowers, and blue and yellow glow sticks and pins – the colors of the Ukraine flag – will be handed out. Other signs!
This should take less than an hour to do. (We ask that people start gathering at 6:30 pm for the Boston Neighborhood Network TV interviews, group photos and the televised documentation of the gathering ~ 7 pm.) Please help us show Ukraine that Boston cares _ and the world that we wish everyone well. Everyone is welcome!
Afterward, everyone is invited to stay on to watch TransCultural Exchange's video Hello World, projected onto MassArt's facade, which includes clips from artists around the world sending back to us their art works and well wishes.

Event Location:

Evans WAy Park (in front of the Gardner Museum), alongside MassArt.
