The Sounds of Ukraine - the award-winning Kyiv Chamber Choir and Conductor Mykola Hobdych return for concerts in 8 U.S. cities - a rare opportunity to enjoy one of the world's best choirs performing some of the most popular music of Ukraine.
Concerts will take place in New York, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Boston, Hartford, Cleveland and Rochester - from October 28 to Novermber 6, 2016.
The first half features sacred music by Ukraine's master composers - including Vedel, Bortniansky, Lysenko and Sylvestrov - sung with great skill and passion.
The second half features folk music, drawn from over 1,000 years of Ukrainian choral history - arranged by some of the finest contemporary composers and presented in a style that is unique in the world of music.
Those of Ukrainian heritage will hear familiar music - sung in a manner that makes each concert memorable.  For everyone else, the Choir will present a 'hidden treasure' of music becoming more known as part of mainstream arts & culture.
Their performances always bring the audience to their feet.
Each Kyiv Chamber Choir concert is a very special occasion - one not to be missed.
