Event Details:
Julian Kytasty, one of the world's premier players of the bandura, a lute-harp which is Ukraine's national instrument, will headline. Also performing will be the extraordinary genre-bending violinist Yaeko Miranda Elmaleh with her long-time cohorts accordionist Michael McLaughlin and percussionist Grant Smith. In addition, the gifted South African jazz pianist Witness Matlou will perform pieces dedicated to the struggles in Ukraine both solo and in duo with Iranian kamancheh player Payam Yousef. And Tennessee-born guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Joseph Allred contribute some pieces at the beginning of the event

You will also hear the beautiful voices of three Ukrainian women who currently attend Berklee ... Valeriia Vovk (Odessa), Lera Shemi (Kyiv) and Svieta Biliakovska (Lviv).
