Event Summary:

Saturday, April 22 2017 Join critically-acclaimed singers – Ukrainian soprano Olga Lisovskaya, and Friends

Event Details:

A Musical Voyage starting from Vienna, going all the way through Austria, Hungary, the Balkans and to Ukraine and its famous capital, Kiev. "Musical Voyage from Vienna to Kiev" is an original program, including arias, duets and songs by Austrian, Hungarian, Ukrainian and American composers of Ukrainian/Austrian descent. The program features Olga Lisovska, a bass-baritone guest from Vienna, and a few other surprise guests.

You will hear such famous works as the delightful Papageno/Papagena duet from Mozart's The Magic Flute, the luscious Waltz Duet from Lehar's The Merry Widow, the seductive Don Giovanni/Zerlina duet from Mozart's Don Giovanni, fiery excerpts from the operettas Die Fledermaus and The Gypsy Baron, soulful Ukrainian and Austrian melodies and a comic masterpiece of a duet, Odarka/Karas confrontation from the Ukrainian Opera Cossack Beyond the Danube by S. Hulak-Artemovsky. No Austrian/Ukranian program would be complete without excerpts from The Sound of Music and The Fiddler of the Roof. The singers will be accompanied by an accomplished pianist, Boris Fogel.
