Brief Biography of Marika Hull

Marika Hull is a full-time hospital chaplain at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River, MA, and is a Board Certified Chaplain with the National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC). In addition to her duties as a member of the clinical interdisciplinary team providing care for patients of all ages, their families and hospital staff, Marika is a member of the hospital Ethics Committee, the Hudner Oncology Patient Satisfaction Committee, and the Oncology Resource Committee. Marika is also chaplain to the Hudner Oncology Center, which provides regional cancer care, and is affiliated with the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, MA.

Marika is active in patient and staff education and participates in, and conducts workshops and programs on wellness and on different aspects of living with illness. She also serves as hospital Team Leader of the Schwartz Center Rounds, a nationally- funded forum for physicians and clinical staff with a focus on the emotional needs of the clinical caregiver.

Prior to her present position, Marika was a full-time chaplain resident at Tampa General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center in Tampa, Florida. At Tampa General, Marika trained in Trauma ICU, Burn ICU, Trauma ER, and the Neonatal ICU.

Marika received her Master of Divinity (M. Div.) degree from Harvard University, where she completed her studies in Scripture and Early Christianity. While at Harvard, Marika pursued clinical training as a hospital chaplain, and completed courses in Medical Ethics, Pastoral Counseling, and Clinical Care of the Aged at Harvard Medical School.

Marika lives in Rhode Island with her husband and youngest child. She is a communicant of St. Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church in Woonsocket, R.I.
