Ukrainian Music Initiative's second program celebrates two centuries of musical dialogue and cultural exchange between Ukrainian composers and their counterparts further west. The music of this all-new concert will surprise, move and entrance.

Zoltan Almashi, Theodore Akimenko, Dmytro Bortniansky, Sergei Bortkiewicz, Vladimir Dyck, Bohuslav Martinů, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Stefania Turkewich
along with the stories behind the compositions

Rita writes: I'm particularly honored to perform Deuxième légende hébraïque for piano and cello by Vladimir Dyck, a Ukrainian Jewish composer whose life and voice were cut short in Auschwitz.
As someone who shares that Ukrainian Jewish heritage, I feel a profound connection to this piece. Performing it allows us to honor his voice.
