Saturday, April 19th from 4:30-6:30pm ~ Please join us to meet and to greet Ivan Drozd to Boston, and wish him well in the upcoming marathon. Ivan will be joined by Roman Kashpur and possibly other Ukrainian runners participating in this year's Boston Marathon.
Ivan Drozd witnessed firsthand the devastation of war, losing his arm, and losing his son. But he refuses to be defined by these losses. He channels his strength into action, running to honor those whose lives have been forever changed by conflict. With every mile, he carries the spirit of those who cannot run beside him, proving that even in the darkest times, resilience prevails. Ivan is not just running the Boston Marathon—he is running for resilience, for healing, and for hope.

The meet and greet will be held at the Parish Hall of Christ the King Ukrainian Catholic Church, 146 Forest Hills St, Jamaica Plain, MA 02130. Immediately following the blessing of baskets, we will hold a small reception with light, Lenten refreshments. You will have the opportunity to speak with Ivan, take photos, and find out more about Unbroken, Unbroken Cities Network, and One World Strong, organizations working together to support Ukrainian resilience.
