This concert is meant as an expression of the Berklee community's solidarity with the Ukrainian people. The program will feature Gary Burton, Fred Hersch, Vadim Neselovskyi, Ronen Itzik, Daniel Loomis, and the Berklee-based choir Pletenitsa, directed by Chistiane Karam. The music will concentrate on Ukrainian folk songs and original compositions by Berklee’s Ukrainian faculty member Vadim Neselovskyi.

The people of the Ukraine are currently experiencing very difficult and challenging times. Entire cities in the east of the country are practically destroyed, more than 5,000 people have died, and nearly 500,000 have been identified as refugees. This concert, presented in partnership with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR), is being held in order to assist Ukrainian refugees, displaced children, women, and seniors.
